Just when we thought we were set with strobe products (considering that there now exists everything from unicorn highlighters to rainbow compacts), along came something else to change our minds. Over the weekend, MAC Global Senior Artist, Dominic Skinner, teased the brand’s new highlighter palette and we have to say that from the looks of it, there’s room in our collections for one more thing.
Aptly titled the “MAC Hyper Real Glow Palettes,” the release features two shade options, one with a trio labelled “Gold Coasting,” “Get It Glowing,” and “Rosy Cheer” (a mix of yellow gold, rose gold, and bronze). The second palette features even brighter shades named “Flash + Awe,” “Rosy Glow,” and “Light of the Party,” (taupe, iridescent pink, and blush hues).
While we’re super excited for this release, MAC MUAs have added that it might be awhile before we can actually get our hands on them. On the other hand, they’re already pulling in rave reviews. “I cannot tell a lie I have them & they are Amazing!!,” wrote MAC regional trainer Melissa Shiffer, who posted a mesmerizing swatch video to her Instagram. While we’ll have to wait for winter weather to end and spring to begin before we can bathe our faces in metallic luminizers, it will be well worth the wait.
Of course, this certainly isn’t MAC’s first highlighter (they’ve been putting out some of our favorite’s for years), but it’s shaping up to be one of the most exciting. The ultra-gleamy finished — coupled with some especially flattering metallic shades — is just the thing we needed to dial up the glamour on all our makeup looks. See every shiny swatch below:

Good news to MAC fans waiting to get their hands on these: The brand announced that the collection drops Feb 15, 2018 and the palettes will retail at $39.50 each. We’ll definitely be getting both.
